Saw this album and got to hear The Day of Rest and i was hooked. Picked it up and was amazed there are bands that still make good music. This album is a solid 10 but their followup album i thought let up on the intensity. Here it is a doomy sludge slow grinding assault. There is great vocals here and theguitars are sick good stoner metal.Check out Crowbar and Corrections House. This band has grinding guitar riffs that chug along, super doomy and slow but heavy. I really think you can hear the bass nice and audibly. The groove of the bass is thunderous, mix that in with the heavy pulse pounding drums that just will blow you away. The vocals are so vicious and heavy that it just sucks you in,the heaviness all the way around just stomps you in the ear. Best played at super loud volume,it even says play it loud to get the best experience.
